What in HELL is Bad?‘s second PV is finally out, and seems like the release date is inching closer so let’s talk about this game.
In case it’s not in your radar yet, What in HELL is Bad? is an upcoming mobile otome game from the company Prettybusy. It is a “free”, gacha-based game with interactive features like being able to touch the characters in all kinds of ways. More on that later.

Prettybusy is a Korean-based company known for the otome game LoveUnholyc. They describe themselves as “a game company for females” and specialise in otome games. What in HELL is Bad? is the second game to be added to their portfolio.

There is the saying ‘all mysterious things happening in Hell, are from Beelzebub’. He is unbound by anything, and creates ‘phenomenon’ that transcends common sense and theories.
Personality
Free and mysterious. It is such that he was seen to be smoking and drinking at a bar in Gehenna, but also seen in Tartaros betting on a small devil race during the day on the same day. Common sense and rules do not apply to him but he is hearty and lovely so the most talked about topic about him in Hell is said to be “What would it feel like to make love with Beelzebub?” He cooks wherever he goes, but they say that you should never eat it no matter how much you love him.
Satan

Abilities
If he drinks the blood of those who love him, he can turn that blood into what he wants. It’s up to Satan as to what to make, and some may be presented with a blood diamond made of blood that only exists in legends, while some may be judged with a huge hammer made of blood.
Personality
He is the most violent out of the seven kings of Hell. He is moody due to his depression and the devils around Satan are kicked and sometimes fly away. The devils of Gehenna enjoy being hit by Satan and sometimes hover around him on purpose. Although he is a king, he is a king who is friends with all his citizens as he drinks and stays the night with the low-class devils at a pub in the narrowest and most remote alley.
Leviathan

Abilities
He brings unidentifiable creatures from the coffin he made to enter one day. Most of them are terrible beings and cosmic terrors that existed in the past, and meeting them means that you are at the end of your life.
Personality
Maybe it’s because of agoraphobia or if he is lonely by nature, but he generally likes going inside the coffin he carries around and spending time by himself. He envies even himself from a second ago, and deals with everything as fast and precisely as he can.
He is a beloved king, and there is a saying that you shouldn’t challenge Leviathan unless you are determined to kill every last population of Hades.
Mammon

Makes colossal wealth and riches. Gold and treasure of unknown sources are always left where he walks. He can make gold and treasure whenever he needs, and the treasure become weapons to trample over the enemies when he must destroy them.
Personality
He sincerely believes and claims that everything belongs to him. Even if there is riches or talents in other countries, he never steals them. Because he thinks that he ‘placed’ something of his possession in that country. No, he thinks that the country and its king belongs to him, so he is never jealous. He rules as benevolently as he is leisurely at heart, but when he meets enemies he ‘doesn’t need’, he destroys it all except its remnants.

You will be invited to a provocative and decadent secret club that you’ve never experienced in the world of <What in HELL is Bad?>. The devils of the Seven Deadly Sins are there as VIPs, which are now yours. There, you can realise your desires without letting anyone know.
At the secret club realised by Prettybusy, you can call on the souls of the devils you obtained to touch them, tease them, and make them reach climax. Whatever you do, don’t feel guilty. Because this is hell. Wrath, greed, envy, gluttony, pride, lust and sloth are splendid emotions that form you.

Key features
✤ Gender options
You can choose any gender before playing, though the developers have noted that the game was made with females in mind.
✤ Touch, play and tease
This feature basically lets you touch them as rough or as soft as you want. This includes biting, licking, pinching – you name it, and this can be done to any visible body part. You can leave hickeys, or heal wounds, it’s really up to you. Though if you want to increase their stamina for battles, you need to tailor your “session” to their liking. For example, as you may have read above, Leviathan loves being choked (that’s my boi), and Satan loves being spanked.
The developers also noted that their most sensitive part is their horns. If you stimulate their horns “skillfully”, they will “make sweet milk full of devilish energy.” If you spend enough time with them, they will give their horns to you.
✤ Fully voiced main story
According to the Q&A they posted on Twitter, the main story will be fully voiced.
✤ Camouflage mode
Again this was revealed in the Q&A. This mode was designed for players to be able to play this game in public places. They seem to imply that in this mode, only the “adoring” functions will be available – so you won’t have to worry about people hearing the devils do the nasties like moan or squirt their horn milks.

Personal thoughts
✤ General feeling
First of all, if you came across this article from Twitter and saw my tweet asking what “length” Prettybusy was referring to – I did my homework, and thank you as well to those who helped answer this silly mystery.
I can more or less confirm that it’s their horn length.
HORN, GUYS, NOT D**K.
But horn = 🍆 methinks. 🤷🏻♀️
Here’s what I’ve been able to gather. So on a random day the MC was horny and decided to watch some BDSM porn – the character she was watching (?) came out of the TV. Long story short she is isekai’ed into hell, where she joins a VIP club with horny demons, whom she can slap, choke, or scratch, and literally make them c*m by giving them “hornjobs”?
It does not get any more deranged than that…and I’m here for it.
I am also huge fan of literally all the VAs – like damn, the casts are STACKED. I’d be lying if I said the VAs didn’t pull me into wanting to try this game.
I am also genuinely mind-blown that this game will be available on the app store. The PV clearly shows how saucy the game is going to be – dare I say they are flirting with the red line a little bit. I hope it doesn’t get taken down, ’cause gosh that’d be damn frustrating.
✤ Umm, does this bother anyone else?
I’ve seen concerns regarding the mental illnesses (or rather, disorders) that these characters have. I want to see first whether these health disorders are going to play a major part in the plot, or whether this is just an accessory to make the characters “interesting”, which seems to be the case at the moment. If the latter ends up being the case, then I personally find that kind of unnecessary – at least framing them as actual “diagnoses” might not be the best idea. Let’s wait and see.
Note that their initial wording was actually “mental sickness”, and this was changed to “mental illness” based on fans’ feedback. Sounds like they are listening to us, so I would encourage anyone to reach out to them if you have any suggestions or concerns.
✤ More rambling (and extra info!)
I really like the idea of the Camouflage mode which I can use when I’m in public, and turn it back into porn mode (lol) when I’m home. The developers, as otome gamers themselves, said they know the “struggle” and created this function with that in mind.
So far I’ve got my eyes on Leviathan. His character design is just the most aesthetically pleasing for me. I’m not sure I’ll enjoy choking him though? But if he likes it, then sure I guess.
In the Q&A, they mentioned that if the game is popular enough, they have plans of porting it to the PC and Switch – which could happen as soon as 2024. I mean, let’s be real – it’ll probably be later than that. But that would be super cool nonetheless. Honestly, there are so many mobage I wish were ported to the Switch. Also, it’d be nice if the PC version is made into an R-18 game because…science?
As to fit the Seven Deadly Sins theme, there will be three other LIs that will be introduced (details still TBC). Another info from the Q&A is that they are also planning to introduce the Angels as LIs in the future.
Overall I’m excited to try out this game, and it looks like we won’t have to wait long as well. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s reactions on Twitter or TikTok!
