DLSite announces English translation of Club Suicide
DLSite garumani has announced that they will be doing the translation for Club Suicide Complete Edition, with release date TBC.
Club Suicide is an indie Japanese otome game by MORPATH. It is a PC game (supported OS including Windows and Mac) and the English version will be available for purchase in DLSite. It is a partly voiced otome game.
Club Suicide Complete Edition will likely be the remastered version, which includes a new character and new scenarios. The remastered version is already available on Steam, but currently only in Japanese.
The older version of the game is available in DLSite or Booth, with supported languages being Japanese and Chinese (simplified).
Note the TWs from their Steam page:
“
This game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content.
I think the game has a lot more TWs than mentioned above as I understand it is quite dark and deals with heavy themes, including mental health, suicide and death, and some sexual themes as well.
Here’s the game synopsis taken from DLSite.
I’m thinking of killing myself.
~Graduation is coming up, and the spring breeze is really blowing this week. These boys wish only to die.~
You’ve been skipping school lately due to the overwhelming pressures of social interaction. The one day you decided to come to school, you encountered a strange club recruitment poster…
“Club Suicide”, it read.
You’re not too serious about it, but the idea of ending it all has crossed your mind. You decided to go for a look.
But the sheer determination of the five boys in the club to end their lives in a week frightened you into wanting to live.
However, you simply don’t have the heart or the courage to tell them you’re not planning to die.
Keeping your inner thoughts to yourself, you begin seven disturbing days of desire with these suicidal young men…
Below you will find some information about the characters, taken from DLSite. Images are promo CGs from their Steam page.

Individualistically antisocial
Mitsuki Kugajima (CV: Alvin Kinoshita)

*This is the new character which is available in the revamped version. There is no official translation yet, so here’s a rough one based on the description provided in Steam.
Tsuzuri Azayomi
His reason for wanting to die is “so at least he himself can decide how the end should be.”
His unfulfilled desire is “to leave a scar.”
A mysterious boy with an otherworldly appearance. With a thin and sickly frame, and a peculiar speaking manner, his ever-changing expressions make it impossible for anyone to identify him.
Four titles from OperaHouse will be “ported” to the Switch
On June 1, OperaHouse tweeted they will be releasing the Nintendo Switch version of four of their popular Japanese mobile game titles. To be precise, it’s a mix of resale, possible patch for Japanese language support, and an actual port.
Here is a brief rundown of the said games.
✤ Princess Closet -Fashion and love will change me-
Note that this game was already available in English on the Switch before (as well as German and French), but not yet in Japanese. They will be redistributing the game as a completely new product, WITH the Japanese support included. It will be released on June 22, 2023.
The new Switch version will be much cheaper as they have removed the voice acting, according to their eShop page. The version with voice acting has been (or in some region, soon will be) discontinued.
✤ Henbou Kareshi
✤ Diamond Girl ~Koi no Maji Lesson~
✤ Tsuyaga~ru
Tsuyaga~ru is currently only available on PC and mobile (unlocalised), and this will be the first time it gets ported to the Switch. The game features famous warriors from Japan’s history, including The Shinsengumi, Ryoma Sakamoto and Shinsaku Takasugi. It is a voiced otome game.
✤ Renewed otome game portal
Here is OperaHouse‘s renewed otome game portal. Aside from the ones mentioned above, they have many more games which are already available in English, including London Detective Mysteria, Gakuen Club, and Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku. *Some of the games featured in their website may be released by different English publishers and/or were originally developed by different companies – check vndb for details.
Note that other than Princess Closet, the release dates of the Japanese Switch version for the other three games remain TBC.
That’s a wrap! I was really surprised that OperaHouse decided to discontinue the voiced version of Princess Closet. I don’t own the game and thankfully the voiced version is still in the AU eShop, so I immediately panic-bought one LOL. I am also super stoked about Club Suicide getting an English version. It bodes well for more indie Japanese titles to be made available for English-speaking players.
Cheers for reading, hope to see you in my next post!
Thank you so much for the details concerning these games! I had previously heard about CS but I was unable to find any specifics regarding the individual characters so it’s nice to be able to fill in those gaps. Are you planning on playing it? As always, thank you for bringing us all the latest updates on these games! I’m fairly new to your blog but I always look forward to reading any morsel of otome media that you have uncovered for us!
Thank you so much that means a lot!! I wasn’t sure whether it would be too much information to talk about the characters as well but now I’m glad I did ☺️ ngl PC is my least favourite console for otome but I am fascinated by clusui’s concept so I’ll give it a go~
