Animate Girls Festival (AGF) has spoiled us with amazing otome news! There’s been a bunch of new games announced since my last round-up post as well. Let’s take a look at each of them.

HuneX hints a new Steam Prison game (?)
HuneX announced Steam Prison -Beyond the Steam- is set to begin development in 2024!

Not much is known about the project, but they said that Steam Prison is “ready for its next expansion.” In the survey page, they said “in 2024, the curtain will rise on a new story.”
The short survey (which is now closed) also asks players to cast a vote for the situation we want see come out of the project. The options (translated) included:

Cybird announces new mobile otome, Morganatic Idol
Cybird announced the release of Morganatic Idol, an idol-themed mobile otome game. This game is the second installment of their Ikemen Series derivative label, “+ONE by Ikemen Series.
The game is set to be available in Spring 2024.
The game involves love story with the world’s top 8 super idols. The game’s slogan is “A once-in-a-lifetime, luxurious, and premium love. Meet him from another world and watch love and life bloom.”
The creative director for the game is Itou Ai (Juuzaengi, Birushana, Kenka Banchou Otome), and character design is by bikku.
There are two idol groups in the game: ‘exe Creed’ and ‘Gem Cuddle.’ Other characters include the producer guiding the idols as well as the heroine.

Voltage announces Project Code series
Voltage announced THREE new otome games as part of the ‘Project Code’ series! Two of these games are scheduled for release in 2024, with another set for 2025. All three games will be released simultaneously in both English and Japanese and will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
All releases will be available for download only, which is a little disappointing. But I am thrilled that Voltage is expanding their console game portfolio!

Getsuai no Kusari FD gets a Switch port
Another exciting news out of AGF – TAKUYO will be porting Getsuei no Kusari -Kyouran Moratorium- to the Nintendo Switch! The release date is yet to be confirmed.
This game is the fandisc to Getsuei no Kusari -Sakuran Paranoia-. The game was originally released for PSP in 2013, and was ported to PSVita in 2016.

Love and Deepspace goes global
It’s official. Love and Deepspace is getting a global release! According to the iOS App Store, the expected delivery date is February 29, 2024. It will be available in English and 9 more languages.
The game has some unique features, including 3D animated graphics and touch/interactions, as well as heroine’s appearance and voice customisation options.

Akuyaku gets an otome release
Opera House has announced that they will be releasing Akuyaku Reijou wa Ringoku no Outaishi ni Dekiai Sareru as an otome game! The game is scheduled for a Spring 2024 release.
Originally a novel, it tells the story of Tiararose, who is reincarnated as a villainess in an otome game she had been playing. The series has been adapted into manga series as well, currently 12 volumes long.

About the Game
Experience the sweet story of you, reincarnated as otome game “Ring of Lapis Lazuli” villainess Tiararose, and the neighboring country’s crown prince Aquasteed in an actual Akuyaku Reijou wa Ringoku no Outaishi ni Dekiai Sareru video game. The game is fully voiced by a wonderful cast, and features a unique “What If?” story in addition to Aquasteed’s infatuation.
Story
“I’m inside an otome game I used to play!?”
The protagonist was somehow reincarnated as the otome game “Ring of Lapis Lazuli” villainess Tiararose. Her story follows that of the game, and her engagement with Lapis Lazuli Kingdom crown prince Hartnight is broken off.
However, neighboring country Marinforest crown prince Aquasteed then proposes to Tiararose, and a sweet series of events that are not supposed to occur in the game unfold!?

KLab and Broccoli announced that Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Shining Live for Nintendo Switch is currently under development! The release date is yet to be confirmed.
The app version (iOS / Android) will be discontinued on December 26, 2023, at 14:00 JST.
