Heya! My name is Vira, and I run this blog. I cover anything otome-related, and primarily focus on Switch otome games. I also discuss both localised and unlocalised Japanese titles!

I also talk about romantic visual novels and other joseimuke content that may not strictly fall under the definition of an “otome” (乙女 = “maiden”).

The whole blogging thing is rather new to me, but I love writing listicles / round-up articles because I enjoy summarising things and sharing personal favourites. To do this well, I am currently on a mission to play as many games as possible this year!

I also love translating otome news and writing spotlight articles of upcoming games. It’s just a really fun way of consuming native materials and improving my Japanese. If I can make Japanese otome content just a little bit more accessible for those who speak little to no Japanese – then even better!

When it comes to fiction, I have a very broad taste and my tolerance for the “abnormal” is HIGH. I love yanderes, I don’t mind step-sibling relationships, toxic relationships, non-con…that sort of stuff. Don’t worry, I will always provide trigger warnings and mention elements people may find concerning since I’m probably an anomaly (and a degenerate, LOL).

Please note that my ratings and reviews are by no means free from bias nor are they meant to influence you in any way – they are merely my opinion, and your experience with a game will be unique to mine because we are all different. Because I’m not *that* picky in general, I tend to be quite generous with my ratings as well! So please just bear that in mind when reading my reviews.
