Steamy otome games on nintendo switch

Steamy otome games on Nintendo Switch!

Share:

Are you looking for some steamy otome games to play? I’ve got some personal favourites I would like to share with you. If you have played these titles, don’t forget to comment and let me know what you think of them!

Please bear in mind these games are all on Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo has a very strict mature content policy. In other words, don’t expect explicit sexual content. If any of these games have an R-18 version, I will make sure to note them down.

Jakou no Lyla ~Trap of Musk~

 Language: Japanese (unlocalised)

Dev/pub: Idea Factory (Otomate) x Frontier Works (“triAngle” project)

Other platform(s): Steam (PC)

H*rny rating: 9999/10

You play as Shirien, a dancer who works in a show bar in Kamal, but her real occupation is a spy. She bewitches men with her sensuality to extract information for her clients

Jakou no Lyla was originally a PC game. The Switch version (Trap of Musk) comes with three separate games: European Night, Asian Night and Arabian Night, each with two love interests to play. There are three endings: Happy, Bad and Double Spy (love triangle) ends. The CGs in the PC version is slightly more raunchy, without depictions of actual genitalia.

Recommendation points. ☁ The premise of this game is Arabian x sensual x love triangle. That in itself already sold me 100 times over. In every route, Shirien is essentially sent on a mission and had to bewitch the love interests. Of course, she had to thread carefully in order to achieve her objective and not fall in love with them!

What’s amazing about this game is not just that it’s steamy, it also has a good plot. Unlike most otome games where steamy content usually happens at the end, Jakou no Lyla has steamy content throughout the route. Even in the common route! The love interests are attractive beyond belief, and they are all super h*rny. Also, this is one of those rare occasions (at least for Japanese otome games) where we have a dark-skinned love interest! Yay for progress – and he is hot as hell. Another big hit for me was the love triangle ends, they had me on my knees. So good! I really wish this game had an R-18 version.

Beyond the steam, Jakou no Lyla also has amazing background music. The OP and ED songs are very catchy, and it also has a beautiful love catch system. Gosh, I could go on and on! It’s one of my favourite otome games of all time. I am working on a review of this game, so watch this space. Edit: my Jakou no Lyla review is up, check it out!

➤ RE. Japanese difficulty – if you are learning Japanese through otome games, I would say this one is more for the intermediate to advanced level. The game is heavy on monologues which can be a little poetic (?) at times, for a lack of better word. But hey, don’t let me stop you. Immersion is honestly the best way to learn, and learning with a game that excites you might make things stick a little bit better.

Piofiore: Episodio 1926

Language: English

Dev/pub: Idea Factory (Otomate) x Aksys Games

Other platform(s): PS Vita

H*rny rating: 8/10

The setting is in Burlone, a small town in Italy ruled by Mafia families. Liliana Adornato is an orphan who lives an ordinary life in the church. One day she finds herself unwillingly entangled in the Mafia business. Turns out her true identity is not as ordinary as she once thought.

This game is the sequel to Piofiore: Fated Memories. If you haven’t played the first game, then I strongly recommend you play that first before you go into the sequel.

Recommendation points. ☁ The first game was steamy. But for the most part, “things” only started taking place towards the end (except for Yang’s route). Episodio 1926 takes place after each love interest’s best ending. In other words, Lili and her love interest are happily and deeply in love with each other, and things are SPICY! There are some steamy CGs which actually gave me a pleasant shock! Gil bathing together with Lili had me deceased. My only disappointment was how Orlok still did not get his time to shine (sexually LOL). He deserves Lili wholly too!

Plot-wise, I actually much prefer Episodio 1926 than Fated Memories. The story was intense, and the delivery was really profound and kept me on my toes. Just beware that the sequel is as dark, if not darker than the first game. Always a good idea to check trigger warnings first!

Olympia Soirée

 Language: English

Dev/pub: Idea Factory (Otomate) x Aksys Games

Other platform(s): PS Vita

H*rny rating: 9/10

Olympia is the last surviving member of the White clan. She now resides in Tenguu Island and performs rituals to help keep the sun shining on the island.

She is also on a mission to find a life partner, and her candidates are the successors of clans of different colour and social standing. This game has six love interests. There are essentially two types of endings: Good and Bad.

Recommendation points. ☁ The premise of the game is for Olympia to find a husband and ensure her bloodline continues. So yes, there is a lot of reference to baby making…and other sexual references (both good and bad). A lot of the steamy scenes take place towards the end though. But when it happens, I guarantee it will make you blush! Although sexually inexperienced, Olympia is unafraid to express her sexuality and desire. I find this really refreshing to see in an otome game heroine. I kept laughing at how thirsty she was for those men…she’s too real.

This game has a very intricate and detailed plot, so it’s a game that you need to play with your head 100% in it! As with any games, check the trigger warnings first. In particular, beware that the plot is underpinned by social hierarchy and discriminatory themes (ie., racism), as people are treated differently depending on the clans (colours) they were born into.

Ikemen Sengoku: Toki o Kakeru Koi -Aratanaru Deai- (Switch)

 Language: Japanese (unlocalised)

Dev/pub: Idea Factory (Otomate) x Cybird

Other platform(s): PS Vita

H*rny rating: 7/10

You play as Mai, an ordinary girl who accidentally time travelled into the Sengoku period. She then helped Oda Nobunaga, a famous warrior from that era, from a grievous situation. She was then taken under his care, all while she tries to find a way to go back to her original time.

Cybird is well known for their Ikemen series on mobile, which Ikemen Sengoku is a part of. This time, I am specifically recommending the Switch version (or PS Vita if that’s your main console) for many reasons…I will briefly discuss some of them below (review definitely coming!).

Recommendation points. ☁ I am a very impatient person, so I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on the mobile version just so I can binge the story. Buying the console version has been such a good once off investment! The fact that it is fully voiced already makes it worth buying. The description of the steamy scenes are very detailed and quite explicit. You can replay the chapters as many times as you want, and view all the CGs as many times as you want. Sadly, the CGs aren’t that spicy and a few are repeats of the mobile version.

The initial plot is more or less the same as the mobile version, but does extend much longer before you get to the end. There are also extra scenes in between as well. One example is when Nobunaga visits Mai when she was bathing in an onsen…😳

I am not a fan of battle-heavy stories. But this game actually focuses more on the romance, which I totally appreciate! There are three possible ends: ‘Love Which Transcends Time’, ‘A New Encounter’, and ‘Sad Love’ ends. It only gets 8/10 horns because none of the love interests were ever shown topless (boohoo) and they also never made any “bed noises”. Such a missed opportunity if you ask me. 😆

➤ RE. Japanese difficulty – I actually think the language level wasn’t too bad! It will definitely be a breeze if you are an intermediate. If you are a beginner, you may have to look up some kanji here and there. Since the game is set in Sengoku period, some of the characters (mostly Nobunaga) would occasionally use old Japanese vocabularies. If you want to use otome games to learn Japanese, and if you already enjoy the mobage version, this game might be a good option!

Buy Ikemen Sengoku (Switch)

Collar x Malice -Unlimited-

Language: English

Dev/pub: Idea Factory (Otomate) x Aksys Games

Other platform(s): PS Vita

H*rny rating: 9/10

The setting is in Shinjuku. Many people suddenly found themselves bound to a mysterious collar. The culprit is Adonis, a terrorist organisation. They made a promised that on X-Day, those who are not righteous will be punished through the poison in embedded in the collar. You play as Ichika Hoshino, a young police officer who worked together with a team of investigators to restore order and prevent X-Day from happening.

This game is a fandisc of Collar x Malice, and the story takes place after the conclusion of X-Day.

Recommendation points☁  The first game does contain steamy content (with Takeru’s route being the horniest, LOL). But the emphasis, rightly so, is more on the whole plot of trying to stop Adonis. The fandisc, on the other had, is full on steam train ride (except for Adonis route). Although there are some investigative contents, the game mainly explores each love interest’s personal life and background. The game also takes place after Ichika is already dating the boys, so you can expect a lot of couple-related scenes – dates, sleepovers, you name it. Ah, I am literally smiling so hard right now recalling all the cute moments. Mineo’s hatsu ecchi with Ichika had me SCREAMING!

If you haven’t played the first game, I would highly recommend you start with that first. You will have a much better experience playing the fandisc after getting to know the characters. Collar x Malice is also my all time top 3 favourite otome game – I really cannot say enough good things about it! BUT, if you just want cute and steamy content, I think it’s ok to skip to the fandisc (this wouldn’t make sense for sequels though). You do you!

Butterfly’s Poison; Blood Chains

 Language: English / Japanese (multilanguage)

 Dev/pub: Prototype

Other platform(s): PC (R-18), PS Vita

H*rny rating: 10/10

You play as Yukiko, the only daughter of an aristocrat family in the brink of bankruptcy. She was about to be married off to save the family. But on the night of her birthday, her mansion was attacked and her father killed. The plot uncovers the mystery behind her father’s death and subsequent disturbing events which befalls her family.

The game is set in Taisho era. There are five male love interests, each with Happy, Tragic and Bad ends.

Recommendation points. ☁ Butterfly’s Poison was originally an R-18 game, and of course the Switch version has been heavily toned down to meet Nintendo’s mature content policy. Censorship doesn’t mean it doesn’t get hot and heavy though! All the love interests, except for one, are all sexually experienced. Also, I didn’t mention this above – but there is one route where the heroine platonically ends up with another woman. It was my first time experiencing this in an otome game, and I must say I really enjoyed it!

The game has a solid plot, with great balance between drama, angst and elements of mystery. The art gives me josei manga vibe, particularly some of the character design (Shiba and Hideo). It does deal with a lot of mature and sensitive topics (prostitution, infidelity, kinks, you name it…), so I implore you to read through the trigger warnings first. The bad ends can be super f*cked up and/or weird as well.

Buy Butterfly’s Poison; Blood Chains

Diabolik Lovers: Haunted Dark Bridal

 Language: Japanese (unlocalised)

 Dev/pub: Rejet

Other platform(s): PS Vita, PSP

H*rny rating: 9999/10

The heroine is Yui, whose father suddenly left her for a business trip overseas – only to never return. She then finds herself living with the Sakamaki brothers…all of whom turns out to be sadistic vampires!

This game is scenario-based, and each scenario depicts different event but with connecting plot. The scenarios are grouped into four chapters: Dark, Maniac and Ecstasy, after which you will unlock the Ending chapter. There are three possible ends: Best, Normal and Bad ends. Some scenarios offer choices, which will either increase your S or M points, and lead to different endings.

Note: Diabolik Lovers: Grand Edition for the Switch contains two games – Haunted Dark Bridal (first game) and More Blood (sequel).

Recommendation points. ☁Diabolik Lovers is one of my favourite series of all time! The game starts with you and your vampire pretty much hating each other, and them being cruel to you. Then they slowly become softer and obsessed with you. I would only recommend this game if you can tolerate S&M themes. I’m talking about knife play, being chained, getting drugged, non-conThis is not the game to play if you want to see healthy relationships.

What’s fantastic about Diabolik Lovers is how unapologetically diabolical it is. Majority of the scenarios are steamy and descriptively explicit. There are occasional humorous scenes thrown in as well, and they are very refreshing and fun! One other major hit for me is how the voice actors do not hold back on the moans and whispers. The game is basically an ASMR-fest! I have so much more to say about this game, but I will save it for another time.

➤ RE. Japanese difficulty – the Japanese used in this game is actually quite beginner friendly! A lot of the words are actually not written in the kanji form, rather they are presented in hiragana or katakana. For beginners, this makes it a really good way to learn new words without the headache of having to look up kanji every 5 minutes. If you want to use otome games to learn Japanese, and already love the franchise, why not give it a go? Also, I am aware there is an English fan-patch available for PS Vita, but I haven’t tried it myself so I can’t speak to it. Google is your friend!

Buy Diabolik Lovers: Grand Edition

Thank you for reading this far. I will leave the list at that for now, but I definitely have a few more titles to share in the future! I am also currently playing a few games which are quite steamy, but need a bit more time to form an opinion on them. Steamy otome games are my absolute favourites, so I will definitely be talking more about them in my blog. Stay tuned ✿
